Welcome to Devglan. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of www.devglan.com, including developer tutorials, online utilities, and the After Hours community.
Throughout these Terms, "Devglan", "we", "our", and "us" refer to the operator of this website. "You" refers to anyone accessing or using our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Devglan, you agree to these Terms and the policies referenced here.
If you disagree, stop using our services. Additional rules apply to the After Hours community.
2. Our Services
Devglan provides educational and technical resources, including programming tutorials, code examples, developer utilities, cryptography tools, and community discussions.
Most tutorials and tools are publicly accessible. Certain features, including posting stories, confessions, and comments on After Hours, require users to sign in.
3. User Accounts and Single Sign-On
Devglan supports authentication through third-party Single Sign-On (SSO) providers, including Google, LinkedIn, and GitHub.
Depending on the provider, configuration, and permitted authentication scopes, Devglan may receive your provider-specific account identifier, name, email address, or profile image.
Your identity provider handles authentication; Devglan does not receive your SSO password.
You are responsible for activities associated with your account and must not impersonate another person or attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts.
Use of Google, LinkedIn, or GitHub for authentication does not imply that these providers sponsor or endorse Devglan.
4. User-Generated Content
Users may publish stories, confessions, comments, poll questions, and other contributions ("User Content").
You retain ownership of your original User Content, subject to the rights of any third parties.
By submitting User Content, you grant Devglan a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, format, and technically adapt that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, moderate, and promote the services.
This license continues while the content is available on Devglan and for reasonable backup, legal, or operational retention afterward, subject to applicable law.
You are responsible for ensuring that your submissions are lawful and that you have the necessary rights to publish them.
User submissions represent the views of their respective authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of Devglan.
5. After Hours - Workplace Community
After Hours is a community platform where developers and technology professionals can share workplace experiences, career concerns, management stories, confessions, and opinions.
You may share positive or negative workplace experiences, including criticism of companies and management practices, subject to these Terms and our Community Guidelines.
Anonymous Publishing
After Hours allows registered users to publish content using either their public identity or an anonymous identity.
When anonymous publishing is selected, the user's public account identity is not displayed alongside the contribution. However, Devglan may maintain an internal association between the contribution and the registered account.
Anonymous publishing does not guarantee complete anonymity. Information within a story, including company names, job titles, locations, or distinctive events, may allow others to infer the author's identity.
Workplace Allegations and Opinions
Users should describe experiences from their own perspective and distinguish personal opinions from factual statements or secondhand information.
Knowingly fabricated accusations, impersonation, harassment, and unlawful disclosures of private or confidential information are prohibited.
Devglan does not independently verify every workplace story or allegation published by community members.
For detailed participation rules, read our After Hours Community Guidelines .
6. Acceptable Use
When using Devglan, you agree not to:
- Publish threats, hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory abuse.
- Impersonate another person or attempt to expose anonymous contributors.
- Share private personal information, credentials, trade secrets, or confidential material without authorization.
- Publish knowingly false allegations or unlawful content.
- Post spam, malicious links, or deceptive promotional content.
- Manipulate polls, reactions, or engagement through bots or coordinated inauthentic activity.
- Attempt unauthorized access, interfere with website security, or misuse developer tools.

7. Content Moderation
Devglan may review content reported by users or identified through moderation processes.
Depending on a violation’s nature and seriousness, we may restrict visibility, remove content, limit participation, or suspend accounts.
Criticism, disagreement, or negative workplace experiences alone are not grounds for removing content.
After Hours may use AI-assisted tools to identify topics, moods, sentiments, or other content labels. These labels are intended to support discovery and do not independently verify claims.
Reports may be reviewed in context; reporting does not automatically lead to removal.
8. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, original tutorials, website design, branding, and other materials published by Devglan belong to Devglan or their respective rights holders.
You may use publicly available educational content for lawful personal learning, subject to applicable licenses and third-party rights.
Republishing substantial portions of Devglan's original content or using our branding without authorization is prohibited.
