People don't understand the pain of layoffs until it happens to them

It's easy to say, "Layoffs are part of corporate life" when your own job is safe. But when it happens to you, everything changes overnight. Suddenly, you're worried about EMIs, family responsibilities, interviews, and how long your savings will last. The worst part is seeing everyone else move on like nothing happened, while you're still trying to figure out what went wrong. I used to think losing a job was just a temporary setback. Now I realise it's not just about losing a salary. It's about losing your confidence, peace of mind, and the stability you worked so hard to build. You never truly understand the pain of a layoff until you're the one receiving that unexpected meeting invite.
